The Tygerberg Bird Club will host a half day course presented by Mariana Delport on Gardening for Birds.
The course will cover:
- Creating various habitats to make your garden more bird-friendly
- The plants to plant to attract various bird species to your garden,
namely, fruit eaters, seed eaters, insect eaters, etc. - How to manage your garden to make it more bird-friendly
- Making your own compost
- Alternatives for poisons / insecticides
- To feed or not to feed
