Hi All,
Hope you all had a fulfilling food weekend!
I took 3 clients to Kirstenbosch on Tuesday. Whilst looking for Southern Boubou near the Erica garden, 2 Cape Siskins flew over! This is the first
time that I have seen them there as they are normally towards Cape Point on the mountain slopes. Those of you that do counts at Kirstenbosch or go there regularly is this normal? If not is this an influx due to the dryness higher up? One wonders.
Yesterday I was with a client at Koeberg and found a pair of Black-headed Canaries drinking water at the little dam at the stores. One wonders how long these dry land species will stay here on the coast as I believe they are still to be seen at Langebaan.
